Meet Zaira
Zaira came into the field of occupational therapy when volunteering at a young age at which she completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Cal State LA followed by a Masters in Science in Occupational Therapy from Gannon University. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
She is passionate about working with kids with disabilities to help them regulate their emotions, improve their feeding intake, and socialize while working on their playing occupation through various OT strategies. Training and Certifications gathered through the years such as feeding, sensory, ABA interventions, and parent education will be used during the private in-home sessions to improve our kiddo's activities of daily living and functional skills. She also believes that parent collaboration and evidence-based practice are very important for our kiddo’s success!
